Memory Banda: a powerful speech at emlyon business school

On November 22, emlyon business school welcomed Memory Banda, a young activist of the #biggerthanus film who raised the age of marriage from 13 to 18 in Malawi and who fights for the emancipation of women through education .

MEMORY HAS BEEN FIGHTING AGAINST CHILD MARRIAGE SINCE SHE WAS A TEENAGER

"In this initiation camp, girls have to learn how to sexually satisfy a man."
Her sister got pregnant, had to drop out of school and get married at the age of 11. Since then, Memory Banda has fought tirelessly for the rights of women in her country, Malawi. This is her story.
